| John Lyshitski (Dax Shepard) has spent most of his juvenile and adult life in the US penal system. He blames this on the judge who repeatedly sends him to jail, Judge Beiderman. When he gets out, Lyshitski plots his revenge on the Judge. Of course, his plans are ruined when the Judge Beiderman dies, and not by Lyshitski’s hand. Enter Biederman the 4th (Will Arnett), who get into a little hot water of his own. Lyshitski changes his plots, they go to prison together, and Lyshitski basically screws with the Biederman jerk the entire time. | |

There are three reasons why you should see this movie: It is freaking hilarious; it has Chi McBride in it (Bishop from Waiting); and it has that funny charm that is based on honesty and truth.
The movie is narrated by Lyshitski, and gives a fresh eye to some of the problems with the American penal system. Dax Shepard’s (Lyshitski) clammy and softly sarcastic narration makes this movie a hit, in my opinion.
Now, this particular movie has received some less than favorable reviews. The plot is weak, I will admit that much. But it is freaking comedy, people, not Schindler’s List.
And I agree, if you are completely void of sarcasm, you have never dealt with The Machine of the American Justice System, and if you don’t think that prison betting and making wine in toilets is a viable way to spend your time, you will probably not like this movie.
I thought it was freaking hilarious. Which makes a few statements about my personal history in dealing with The Machine.
This movie pokes fun at what the American Justice system really is….a mockery of people processing.
Plus, it has BISHOP from WAITING in it!
